When your car is being picked up, make sure that you remove your valuables and any items that you might need immediately, such as the keys to your house. Then you will not have to worry about your valuables disappearing, and you will have access to the items that you will need until you get your car back.
4. Put Yourself at Risk
Lastly, make sure that you don't put yourself at risk while you are waiting for a tow. Keep your doors locked if you are going to be waiting in your car, or stay in a well-lit and safe area until the tow truck operator arrives. Let a friend or family member know about your location, and make sure that you stand out of the way while your car is being loaded on the tow truck.
